Bridgework

Bridgework is a solution for the substitution of missing teeth. It is a fixed treatment (or non-removable), the substituted teeth constitute a part of the bridgework as the so-called interlinks and the bearing armature are the teeth neighboring the gap, which are ground onto a crown and constitute the pillars of the bridgework.

Bridgework is the choice of treatment in situations when it is desirable to splint the remaining teeth, and in situations when the patient has refused to be treated with implants.

Bridgework

Treatment of a one-member gap with bridgework currently appears to be a too invasive and not very sparing attitude; a suitable solution in this case is an implant.
